Give thanks to your microbiome

It’s that time of year when food seems to be on everyone’s mind. While digesting those extra holiday calories, take a moment to say thanks to your gut microbes: they help you digest your food, fight off infections and stay healthy. The science of the human microbiome is still in its infancy, but the more we learn, the more we have come to appreciate the many profound ways in which our microbiota contribute to our health and happiness.
